Dostal Digital is expanding, and we’re looking for talented full-time photographers to join our team! This role is perfect for someone passionate about capturing life's most important moments, from weddings to events, and enjoys working in a dynamic, creative environment.

Dostal Digital is an established, high quality, creative photography and videography company based on the Western Michigan Lakeshore. My main focus is photographing and filming weddings, as well as graduating seniors, families and the great outdoors. I, 110% believe in teamwork & on most assignments, I'd like to bring a partner in to help out.
WHAT THE JOB IS
As a full-time photographer with Dostal Digital, you will:
- Photograph Weddings & Events: You will be on-site capturing the special moments of our clients' weddings and events. Some projects will have you working in a lead photographer role, where you’ll be responsible for the main coverage. Other times, you’ll be working as a secondary photographer assisting Britani Dostal herself to ensure every angle and memory is perfectly captured.
- Creative Freedom: While we have a signature style at Dostal Digital, we believe in fostering creativity and allowing each photographer to bring their unique perspective to every shoot.
- Flexible Workload: You'll have a range of assignments, balancing lead photographer responsibilities and support roles. We value collaboration and teamwork, ensuring every project runs smoothly and our clients receive the best possible service.
Employment Details:
This is a full-time, contractor position. As part of our team, you will receive a 1099 form for tax purposes. Here’s a quick overview of what that means:
- 1099 Contractor: You’ll be working as a freelance contractor under Dostal Digital, which means you’re responsible for handling your own taxes. At the end of each year, we’ll provide you with a 1099 form, detailing your earnings for the year. This allows you the flexibility of being self-employed while still being a key part of our team. It also means you will have more control over your work schedule, but with that, you'll need to ensure your taxes are properly filed.
- Growth Potential: We’re looking for someone eager to grow with us. As the business expands, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibilities and potentially evolve your role within Dostal Digital.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience photographing weddings and events.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your creative eye and technical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- You are a responsible person – able to keep your commitments and show up on time
- You have reliable transportation
- You are in good physical shape – many events are full day wedding days
- You are kind, well-likeable, and have a professional demeanor
- You are easy to get ahold of – via either phone or email
